Alaa Bahi - Biography of a Sudanese humanist 

Hello, I am Alaa Bahi, I'm 24 years old and I live in Khartoum, Soba West, in Sudan.

I'm an atheist, from a conservative family but I found my own way to live.

I studied petroleum engineering and graduated three years ago, I worked as a technical engineer first in Khartoum refinery but the situation was rough so I had to do a career shift as I'm interested in environmental studies, I'm working at a factory now in soba industrial area as a sustainable supply chain officer.

I used to help young and adults girls and women in need with studying ever since I was a high school student, due to wealth gap in the community in Sudan, the rate of illiteracy is huge, so many girls and women have to give up on education and go to work to provide food for their families, I used to teach those women that I knew. I really care about this problem of girls education and illiteracy and I hope I can make a difference in society.
