Self-defense is of prime importance in India where gender violence is rising. Common crimes against women in India are rape, sexual assault, molestation, kidnapping, murder, and acid attacks. Criminals target a potential victim who is unaware of their surroundings. Making women aware, cautious, and equipped in times of need can immobilize the attacker, and reduce the number of crimes against women.
