Project Report: Safe House for LGBTQ Girls in Ouidah, Benin
We are thrilled to report on the successful implementation of a project that provided a safe house for 5 humanist LGBTQ girls in Ouidah, Benin. This initiative was made possible through the generous funding of $300 from HuMAN, California which covered the rent for a secure and welcoming accommodation. The address of the safe house is located at 75, Gbegamey crescent, Rue 612B adjacent Zongo, Ouidah Benin Republic.
Objectives:
1. Provide a safe and inclusive space for LGBTQ girls in Ouidah, Benin.
2. Offer a supportive environment for individuals to express themselves freely.
3. Foster a sense of community and belonging among residents.
Implementation:
With the funds received, we secured a comfortable and accessible house with a known address in Ouidah. The residence is partially furnished and still need alot of materials to make us totally comfortable.
Achievements:
1. Five LGBTQ girls have found a safe haven, free from discrimination and persecution.
2. The house serves as a beacon of hope and acceptance, promoting self-expression and confidence.
3. A supportive community has been established, providing emotional support and resources for residents.
