Witch Relief Project Report from Erusu-Akoko
Introduction:
On Sunday the 9th 2023, a relief program was conducted for 10 women who were accused of witchcraft in Erusu-Akoko. The program aimed to provide basic necessities such as food, clothes, and medical assistance to the affected individuals.
Program Details:
The program was organized by a team of volunteers consisting of healthcare workers, and community members. The team arrived at the location in the evening and set up a temporary space. The 10 women were brought to the space by their community members who were supportive of the relief program.
Medical Checkup:
The healthcare workers conducted a medical checkup of each of the 10 women. They took their vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature. The women were provided with multivitamins to supplement their nutritional requirements.
Food and Clothing Distribution:
After the medical checkup, the team distributed food and clothing to the women. The food provided was nutritious and included fruits, vegetables, grains, and protein sources. The clothing provided was suitable for the climate and weather conditions in the area.
Counseling and Emotional Support:

Three of the women were reunited with their family while the rest will continue to stay in their shared shelter.
