Food insecurity and deteriorating soil health are pressing challenges faced by Chad, significantly impacting the livelihoods and well-being of its population. In response to these critical issues, we propose the implementation of the Zai Farming Method, an innovative, regenerative, and sustainable agricultural approach that can significantly contribute to solving food insecurity while simultaneously improving soil quality in Chad. Zai Farming promotes organic practices that eliminate the use of harmful chemicals and synthetic fertilizers. Instead, it emphasizes composting, crop rotation, and the use of natural fertilizers to enhance soil fertility. By adopting these organic techniques, Chad's farmers can restore degraded soil, increase its water retention capacity, and improve long-term agricultural productivity. To ensure the successful implementation of the Zai Farming Method, community involvement and knowledge sharing are vital. Training program and workshop will be organized to educate female farmers about the benefits of this approach and how to implement it effectively. By enhancing agricultural productivity, the Zai Farming Method will boost the availability of food in local markets, leading to increased food security for the immediate community. The surplus produce can be sold, generating income for farmers and contributing to the overall economic growth of the region. We are looking towards training 8 females who inherit land from their family using this method so they can replicate on their own. We will use 1 portion of land to practice. All our funds will be used for the execution

Budget ($200):

Seeds and Saplings: $50

● Purchase a variety of locally adapted seeds and saplings for crop diversification.

Organic Fertilizers: $40

● Procure organic fertilizers (compost, manure) to enrich soil fertility.

Rainwater Harvesting System: $30

● Install a basic rainwater harvesting system to conserve water resources.

Training Workshops: $60

● Conduct workshops to train farmers on the Zai Farming Method and its benefits.

Demonstration Plot Setup: $20

● Establish a small-scale demonstration plot to showcase the method's effectiveness.

Conclusion: This budget outlines a cost-effective plan to introduce the Zai Farming Method on a small scale, addressing food insecurity and restoring soil health in Chad. The pilot project's success will pave the way for broader adoption of the method, contributing to long-term agricultural sustainability.
