Ibtissame ‘Betty’ Lachgar supported by Humanist Global Charity
Ibtissame Lachgar is a Moroccan feminist/atheist/LGBT activist, who directs the women’s activist group MALI. They are infamous in Morocco for their protest events, such as a “Kiss-Ins”in Rabat and a “Ramadan Picnic.” Ms. Lachgar has been arrested and jailed several times and is viewed as the “most dangerous woman in Morocco.” She has received international humanitarian rights awards for her work.
Humanist Global Charity provided her with financial support in 2018 and 2019. She is also on HGC’s Board of Advisors.
