Why We Are Humanists

We are a group of young boys and girls driven by a deep longing for a more compassionate and just world. As we struggle with the troubles of growing up in a region marked by poverty, inequality, and limited opportunities, we are finding solace in humanism, guiding us to reason, science, and critical thinking. Our newfound understanding empowers us to challenge harmful traditions and superstitions, and to cultivate instead a culture of inclusivity, empathy, and love.

We are forming a community committed to the values of humanism. We see the good in each other, and recognize the worth and dignity of every individual. We believe humanism is a call to live with intention, purpose, and compassion. We are becoming the change we wish to see in the world, creating a brighter future for ourselves and for generations to come.

We believe:

  • Humanism encourages us to take control of our lives and create positive change.

  • Humanism’s critical thinking helps us question traditional beliefs and practices that perpetuate inequality and injustice.

  • Humanism is inclusive - it accepts individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Humanism uses reason and science to address problems, instead of superstition and dogma.

  • Humanism fosters compassion and empathy, helping us build strong, supportive communities.
