When I Discovered Humanism and Why I Embraced It:

My journey to humanism began several years ago when I started questioning many things I was taught about life, morality, and the world. I found that humanism makes sense because it encourages living a good life through reason, love for others, and doing what is right without expecting a reward from a higher power. I realized that I can be kind, helpful, and honest simply because it is the right thing to do. Humanism allows me to be free from fear and guilt caused by religious teachings and focus on creating a better life for myself and my community.

Some books that Influenced my worldview:

The God Delusion: by Richard Dawkins – This book challenged my previous beliefs.

God Is Not Great: by Christopher Hitchens – It deepened my understanding of secular morality and the harm caused by religious extremism.

Humanism: by Stephen Law – It helped me understand humanism better.

My Journey to Humanism; When and Why:

My journey to humanism started some years back when I realized that I could not accept things just because people say they are true. I believe in asking questions and finding answers based on evidence. Religion could not explain many things that science and reason helped me understand. Humanism taught me that being good comes from within, not from fear of punishment. It also taught me to respect all people, no matter their beliefs, and to help those in need because we share the same humanity.

Books that Influenced Me:

Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari and The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins.

How Humanism Changed My Life; A Personal Story:

My journey to humanism began when I realized that people can live good and meaningful lives without religion. I saw many people doing good things because they cared about others, not because they feared punishment or wanted a reward from a higher power. This made me believe that kindness, fairness, and justice should guide my life. Humanism also helped me believe in myself and my ability to make a difference in the world through small acts of love and support.

Books That Impacted Me:

Godless by Dan Barker and Faith Versus Fact by Jerry Coyne.

Discovering Humanism; My Story:

My journey to humanism evolved when I decided to explore life beyond the teachings of my childhood religion. I learned that humanism is about caring for others, standing for what is right, and using reason to make decisions. Humanism encourages me to be honest, hardworking, and respectful of people from all backgrounds. It also inspires me to support people who are facing challenges, not because of religious teachings, but because it is the right thing to do.

Book That Changed My Thinking:

Why I Am Not a Muslim by Ibn Warraq.
