Why ywe became a humanist.
The reason we are not religious and are humanist instead is our personal experience with the hypocrisy of our Islamic religion, the fanaticism and the dogma. What makes religion harsh on the human experience has made us reevaluate our beliefs and focus on human values such as thoughtfulness, compassion, and empathy. We stop believing in any god that has no practical value in our lives, nor do we engage in endless and useless worship, because that too is useless. Human values are what we pour into our orphanage. As we now work with children, we have discovered that humanist principles are more effective in promoting empathy, understanding and inclusion.

Project Description
Freedom Humanist Orphanage is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for orphaned children in Farcha, Chad. In addition to offering education, shelter, and emotional support, the orphanage strives to be self-sustaining through various income-generating activities.
A key challenge the orphanage faces is the financial burden of operational costs, including food, staff salaries, and essential supplies. One way to overcome this challenge is by establishing a grinding mill, which would provide a steady income stream. The mill would process grains such as millet, sorghum, and maize into flour, which could then be sold to local communities. The profits from these sales will directly support the orphanage’s operations.
The establishment of a grinding mill at the Freedom Humanist Orphanage in Farcha, Chad, will be a transformative step toward financial independence for the orphanage.
