I am a humanist because progressive and secular ideas supersede our religious ones. I have read a lot from humanist authors and I think the ideas that they have are base on reasoning, logic and scientific method of determining what is right and wrong. It is important that humans reach conclusions about important things in their life with these three qualities. I do not want to live a dogmatic life and I also do not want to worship any God who encourages us to see less of ourselves and promise that he can only love us when we fear that he can punish us in celestial oven.”

Mohammad Bashar, Afghan atheist refugee, who is now in Peshawar, Pakistan.
He says: “After the Taliban takeover, I was spending my days and nights hidden from them, because I as an atheist and humanist was in target to be punished. I did my best to flee, but I couldn‘t. After many months, I had no choice except to flee to Pakistan and look for any opportunity to escape forever. That‘s why I have come in Pakistan, but living here even for a little time needs money. I have rented a room which is 15000 rupees for a month. My living cost is also around 15000 rupees for a month. This is not the money which I can afford it. I have no sourse of income. My family is also not able to send me money. As you know Afghans are experiencing and suffering from the worst economic crisis. With these reasons, $100 can help me to afford the living cost, at least for a month. As a refugee who is suffering from many factors, this money can reduce my pain. I will be grateful for all your help.”
